The 40th Anniversary of the Caister Custom and Classic Bike Show was held at the Kings Arms public house in Caister-On-Sea, in the sweltering heat on the 17th July 2022.
It was a resounding success, with over 250 vehicles showing up. Including classics, customs, adventurers, cruisers, sports, scramblers, bobbers, tourers, trikes and scooters from around the country. Even some Harleys made it! (RAC were on standby!) and keeping our club members busy stewarding and tending to the public requirements.
The goal of the Caister Classic and Custom Show is to raise money for our designated charities, along with meeting and socialising with other like-minded biker people of course.
In this effort we managed to exceed our expectations thanks to the generosity of our patrons, friends and club members who supported us with donations for the raffle and their patience assisting on the day.
OUR GRAND TOTAL RAISED WAS £1,750
This is split 50/50 (£875 each) between our selected charities:
The club membership were pleased to be able to present a rather large check to the Caister Volunteer Lifeboat Service coxswain during their summer fete on the 7th August 2022.
Our members then presented another ridiculously sized check to the East Anglian Air Ambulance service on the 15th August.
The checks were printed prior to having a full tally of the monies collected during the show. £875 in cash was handed to each charity along with the comedy checks!
The 72MCC wish to extend their thanks again to those who attended the show, donated their money, raffle prizes and their time to making it the best show yet.
Join us next year for the Caister Custom and Classic Bike Show 2023. (TBC)
